Wishing the injured staff a speedy recovery and return to work.
The guardian article has a different slant on the weekends events if anyone fancies a read.
I for one would not want to wok at a juvenile establishment after some of the stories I have heard. Kudos to anyone who does.

Wasn't this report issued just days after the article about how we need to stop using pain compliance as a way to keep control at YOIs?
If incidents like this occur when staff have use of force available to them, just imagine what it will be without that!

Also their seg has been shut down as not appropriate for 16-17 year olds to be places there. They're in the process of having a time out area instead but this is not complete - according to the BBC.

We have a high proportion of YAs at our place, originally was only supposed to be 6 YAs but we have a lot more than that, I got 14 of them put on basic for failing to follow instructions and sacked 2 of them from their job so I am not the most popular officer with them at the minute 😂... people need to realise that we (officers) run the establishment not these kids.
