To work to rule. 7.30am (or shift start time) at gate. Move slowly thru air lock No PP No toil hours Take all breaks to the minute No beddies No extra's like ACCT assessor hostage negotiator etc Beddies to be covered by shift so report to establishment at shift start time and order a taxi to hospital. Order taxi back to make sure you finish at shift end. Not enough staff on Wing refuse to unlock. Make sure paperwork is done in the psi timeframes, if you need to complete then withdraw from wing, if that means not enough staff, lock wing down. Etc etc A work to rule

Slightly confused

Its a work to rule as its the only one of two ways we can put pressure on the government to role out pava like it was approved in Jan 2019 and rigid handcuffs that should of rolled out in April 2018

That's what they are looking for. An actual strike is unlawful. Withdrawal to a place of safety is not outside the establishment like last time. That's how the court injunction was won by the government and we went back in after lunch
As far as I can make out

I get loads of texts asking for cover for certain establishments lol Only issue I would see is the officers (maybe mostly the new ones possibly) voting ‘no’ as they don’t want to lose the pp. I know a few who started with me and they are hammering the pp.

I know, that's what a work to rule is!!!
Another argument is you shouldn't have to hammer PP to earn a decent wage. It should be a decent wage on the baseline.
So its a little discomfort for a month for safer working conditions, similar working tools that the police have ( dont forget you have all the powers, privileges and protection as a constable whilst on duty)

I agree with the ballot.
I just think it might be touch and go with the officers who love the PP voting ‘No’.
Have to see what happens I guess....

My instructor reckons that in three weeks time he’s off to get trained on rigid cuffs and Pava. It will be rolled out in the next few months once the instructors are all trained. All the kit has been purchased by HMPPS, it is just a matter of time until the instructors are trained! Hope that I have understood your predicament correctly!

We've been informed that to get Pava and rigid cuffs we need to be hitting our keyworker figure targets... What keyworking and Pava/cuffs have to do with each other I have no idea but as I've learned there is often misinformation with the service.
As for working to rule, been there and done it and it didn't do much. Mainly because those who do the PP will still do the PP because they rely on it. I also have my reservations about the younger officers keeping to the work to rule. There's a big difference between walking out with a big group of colleagues and having the spine to say you're sticking to the work to rule in a small group or by yourself.
I hope I'm wrong though
