That was my thought as well.
Hopefully those who have signed their contract (like myself) will and the ones who havent will get it automatically put into their contract, but who knows!

Normally have to have had a year service at new tax year most places I've worked for increases like that. Hopefully someone will clear it up.

It's backdated to April so new starters will start on the higher salary. Even if you already have a contract signed you will still start on the new salary because the lowest pay point will now be 2.75% higher.

Is this just on the basic pay, or is it including regional pay?
I see the met and others have 2% on thier pay and 2% on their regional pay putting the average PC on 40k.

The pay rise is 2% with an additional 0.75% one off payment, however people on the f&s terms of service will also move up an increment if they are not already maxed out on their payband.

What does that mean in regards to the one off payment? I’ve just had a look ITV have a good breakdown on their website. Now just to sort out the greedy politicians pay to help pay for these rises.

No entirely sure myself, it’s happening across most services including the Army. Guess we will find out at the end of next month

Staff on F&S will only move up an increment if they started on or before the 31st December 2017, new starters post 1st Jan 2018 will only get the 2% rise and the 0.75% one off payment. This is because you have to be in post 3 months before the pay award date which is April 1st to be eligible for any increment.

Will the pay increase and 1 off payment only be on basic pay or will it include the payment supplement for hard to recruit areas. And is the pay award from April 2018?

Basic pay only as the supplement for hard to recruit is a fixed figure.
Award is from the 1st April

Hi.
Could anyone let me know why the 3 months in post on the 1st April does not cover those who started on 1st Jan as surely that is 3 full months?
Thanks
