Swansea has always been bad. With a lot of places it’s inherently occurring because of the over crowding and where they are.
Let’s not put folk off joining the service. The long hours and shit pay with non existent pay rises don’t help I know... why else would we have staff with 15-30 years service...

It’s always amazes me when I read KTD and ex prison officers of 20 plus years are saying don’t join it’s not worth it.... If it wasn’t worth it why did you stay for over 20 years. I understand things have changed but the guys joining now won’t know any different, like those joining the Army.

I could go to town and back several times to discuss what, why; when, where; who and how. What’s the point?
You apply and you are successful. Those questions are for you: the applicant: to answer.
It’s long hours. It stinks. It’s violent. It’s confrontational. Some days: it’s horrible.
It’s not because we love fighting or arguing. We stay because we respect the service and those that provide it. Grow up people: shit happens. Deal with it. We all know the prison boy poem.
We’re adults: chances are some cons are reading this so come on lads; let’s sing along together as some of us screws are sound.
